Mountain View Volleyball Opens Season Aug. 21 in Rockford, Illinois

VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULE

DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View's volleyball team is loading up its schedule to put the first serve into motion in 2026.

Under 13th-year head coach Jana Bonds, the Lions will open the season Aug. 21 at the Opening Weekend Tournament in Rockford, lllinois, playing the likes of Rochester Community & Technical College, Minnesota West Community & Technical College, College of Lake County and Schoolcraft College.

Mountain View's home opener is Tuesday, Aug. 25 against Southwestern Chistian College before heading on the road to play Coffeyville Community College Aug. 28 and against Labette Community College and Seminole State College in the Labette Tri-Match the next day. The Lions won't return home until Sept. 8 when they host Nelson University Junior Varsity. Prior to that, they remain on the road to play at Southwestern Christian and at the Clarendon Tri-Match against the likes of host Clarendon College and Otero College.

Following the Nelson University JV home match, the Lions host Ranger College Sept. 11. They hold back-to-back Mountain View Tri-Match dates Sept. 19 and 26 in between the start of Dallas Athletic Conference play. College of DuPage and Rose State College will participate in the first of the Lions' home tri-matches, while Seminole State and Lee College are the guests for the latter.

Mountain View's DAC opener is Sept. 21 at Dallas College North Lake in a rematch of last year's five-set National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District quarterfinal. The Lions' first conference home match is against Dallas College Richland Sept. 24. They play the next two DAC matches on the road at Dallas College Cedar Valley and at Dallas College Brookhaven the following week before hitting the road for one last tri-match at Seminole State College to see the host school and Fort Scott Community College in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Three-time reigning NJCAA Division III national champion Dallas College Eastfield visits the Lions' Den to wrap up the first round of league play Oct. 5. The second round of DAC action begins with a home match against North Lake on Pink Out night Oct. 8. The Lions host Cedar Valley on Alumni Night Oct. 15 and Brookhaven on Sophomore Night Oct. 19 to conclude the home portion of the schedule. The final regular season match is at Eastfield Oct. 22.

The South District Tournament will be held at the DAC regular season champion Oct. beginning Oct. 28.
