Moore Voted DAC Newcomer of Year
DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View's Madisyn Moore was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year.
Moore was a First Team All-DAC selection. Bryanna Bowman, Skylar Daniels and Sydnei Pena were Second Team all-conference picks.
Moore, a sophomore opposite hitter, had 231 kills and 38 blocks. She had a season-high 15 kills in two matches, and had six blocks in a win over Dallas College Richland.
A freshman setter, Bowman had 551 assists, 272 digs and 28 aces. She had a season-high 32 assists in the South District quarterfinals against Dallas College North Lake.
Daniels, a sophomore libero, led the country in digs with 650. She also had 25 aces. She had a career-high 47 digs in a four-set win over Richland.
A sophomore right side hitter, Pena had 212 kills, 439 digs and 20 aces. She had 15 kills against North Lake in the district quarterfinals and 32 digs against Lee College.
