No. 11 Lions Open 2026 with Win
DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View's 11th-ranked women's basketball team opened up the 2026 portion of its schedule with a 76-59 win over Nelson University Junior Varsity.
It was the Lions' first game since Dec. 13, due to the holiday and semester break.
The Lions (5-9) stormed out to a 17-7 lead after the first quarter, and built a 37-19 halftime advantage.
Mountain View guard Jourdan Jones scored 26 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and had four steals and three assists. Guard Aundrea Bradley had a season-high 20 points and 15 boards for her second double-double this season. Guard-forward Joslyn Jarmon finished with 12 points, a season-best 14 rebounds and six steals, which matched a season high. It was also her second double-double of the season. She had nine offensive rebounds.
The Lions pulled down 53 rebounds, marking the second time they've topped 50 this season.
Mountain View opens Dallas Athletic Conference play at Dallas College Cedar Valley (6-9) at 6 p.m. Thursday.
