Richardson Named DAC Player of Week
IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Mountain View's Kaden Richardson was chosen as the Dallas Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
A 5-foot-11 freshman guard from Fort Worth, Texas, Richardson averaged 28.5 points, two steals, three rebounds and two assists per game last week, while helping the Lions collect their first conference victory of the season. Richardson scored a season-high 35 points on 13-of-14 shooting, knocking down all seven three-point field goal attempts in a 101-97 win at Dallas College Cedar Valley. He also had four rebounds, four assists and three steals. Against Dallas College Brookhaven, Richardson had 22 points and a steal, while going 5 for 9 from 3-point range. In the two games, he hit 20 of 30 field goals and 12 of 16 triples, while going 5 for 6 from the free throw line.
Richardson is averaging 16.7 points per game, and shooting 44.3 percent from the field, 38 percent from 3-point range and 85.2 percent from the free throw line.
Mountain View (6-13, 1-4 DAC) will host No. 10 Dallas College Eastfield (12-6, 4-1) in the DAC Game of the Week 6 p.m. Wednesday. The game will be broadcast on the DAC Sports Network.
