Jenkins Earns DAC Pitcher of Week Behind No-Hitter

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Mountain View's Dylan Jenkins was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

A freshman right-hander from Round Rock, Texas, Jenkins tossed a no-hitter in a 7-1 win over National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Galveston College last week. He went all nine innings, striking out a season-high seven batters, while allowing two walks and a run in a dynamite performance.

Jenkins (1-0) has a 1.88 earned run average and 10 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings this season.

Mountain View (5-8) begins league play at Dallas College Richland (6-6-1) at noon Wednesday before hosting the Thunderducks Friday and Saturday for the final two games of the series.
