Scott Selected as DAC Hitter of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Mountain View's Cooper Scott was chosen as the Dallas Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week.

A sophomore first baseman from Austin, Texas, Scott batted .500, going 5 for 10 with two home runs, two doubles, five runs batted in, two stolen bases, five runs scored and a walk as the Lions went 3-1 last week. He homered and doubled, and drove in three runs in a 12-2 run-rule victory over Texas Reds Post Grad in the first game of a doublehader. In Game 2, Scott homered and doubled again, driving in two more runs in a 10-1 win. He was 1 for 2 with a walk and two stolen bases against Hill College.

Scott is hitting .346 with three homers, two doubles and seven RBI this season.

Mountain View (3-7) plays at Angelina College 2 p.m. Wednesday before hosting Galveston College 5 p.m. Friday and Dallas-Fort Worth Post Grad 12 p.m. Saturday.
